Welcome to the USS Koinonia!
By now, the Burn that shook the entire galaxy to its core is long past. Faster-than-light travel has been restored to nearly all worlds, both in the United Federation of Planets and beyond. Worlds that once chose to give up membership for their own security interests are beginning to return to the fold once more. It is time to rebuild, and there is no better time to start than now.
The year is 3210. The USS Koinonia, so named for her mission to rebuild and reforge old ties once lost to the Burn and beyond, has since been relocated to the space above New Khitomer, where she sits as a diplomatic hub for all factions. Here, she is expected to play host to a myriad of diplomatic activities that might just make the once broken United Federation of Planets stronger than it ever was before. This too shall be your mission, should you choose to accept it.
Interested? The airlock's down below and wide open for you, Starfleet hopefuls. We can't wait to meet you.
The U.S.S. Koinonia is rated 3/3/3 and 21+. All prospective writers are reminded at this juncture that this rating is not license to write nothing but smut, violence, edge etc in all your posts.

Mission: Laying the Groundwork
Posted on Thu Jan 29th, 2026 @ 6:13pm by Captain Doran'atar & M'b'rr
There'd been rumors about one of the cafes on board flying about since the day it opened. Something about the best damn coffee and hot chocolate in their neck of the galaxy - a bold claim, of course, surely worth investigating. So Doran'atar decided to seek it out at the end of his shift. Surely if at least fifty percent (or so he'd heard) of the crew he currently had on board ranted and raved about it, there had to be some meat to the rumors, right?
Well, as it turns out, there seemed to be. Walking through the doors…

Mission: Laying the Groundwork
Posted on Thu Jan 29th, 2026 @ 5:27pm by Lieutenant Commander S'Von Hill & Ensign Jix
Jix made a point to arrive early - and even then she was twelfth in the gradually lengthening line of personnel awaiting their checkups. Clearly the rest of her crewmates had had the exact same idea as her, only some of them were a little more dedicated to getting the necessary work out of the way first than she was.
Regardless, the Bolian hybrid was in no hurry at all to be seen; sickbay and its adjacent offices were going to be her workplace for the next few years anyway. She settled down in the waiting room and chatted with…

Mission: Laying the Groundwork
Posted on Wed Oct 15th, 2025 @ 9:42pm by Inaya Kellan
Inaya stood in the foyer of her new domain. The entrance to the library was the last programmable matter within her domain. Once inside, there was a set of steps leading down to the main floor, creating a sound well that muffled the sound of foot traffic from the corridor as the doors opened. The room fanned open from there, with doorways leading to corridors and eventually reading rooms, while Inaya's desk sat at the rear wall, giving her the ability to see everywhere at a glance.
She'd gone out of her way to design the facility without programmable matter.…

Mission: Laying the Groundwork
Posted on Wed Oct 15th, 2025 @ 6:46pm by Captain Doran'atar & Lieutenant Commander S'Von Hill
Doran'atar had never been fully comfortable with the idea of sitting in a ready room somewhere, whiling the day away on paperwork while his crew hummed on around him. Sure, with well-trained, well-oiled crew that was definitely ideal, but he much preferred to see and understand things for himself. The needs of each department could be ascertained with his own two eyes and ears - something dry, clinical text reports never properly captured. He could gauge the morale of the crew by watching them at work - discreetly, if needed. Most importantly of all, he could watch and assess his…
